The rules behind this tool (conditional-release ratios, supervised-release periods) were collected via web research and are DRAFT data not yet reviewed by a criminal-enforcement-law expert. This engine also does NOT model any of the following:

  • • Recidivism (tekerrür) - under TCK art.108 the ratio changes for repeat offenders (2/3 on first recidivism, 3/4 on second); this tool assumes a first-time offense.
  • • Aggregation of multiple offenses/sentences (içtima).
  • • Amnesty or individualized deferral (age, health, pregnancy, etc.). The 2026 "12th Judicial Package" has NOT been enacted as of this writing (still before the TBMM Genel Kurul) - this tool will be updated if/when it becomes law.
  • • Loss of good-conduct credit - good conduct is not automatic, it depends on an active decision by the İdare ve Gözlem Kurulu; this tool always assumes full good conduct, and the law does not fix how long a negative decision delays release.
  • • Early transfer to open prison under the 11th Judicial Package (Law No. 7571) only produces an informational note here, not a computed date (shown under "Additional Notes" if you provide the offense date).
